East–West Safety and Ethics, the CEU division of the Integrative Health Science Institute, offers NCCAOM-approved continuing education that blends biomedical insight, East Asian medical frameworks, trauma-informed care, implicit bias awareness, and modern clinical risk reduction. These courses are fully asynchronous and designed for acupuncturists seeking relevant, evidence-informed CEUs rooted in whole-person care.
As part of this work, I develop continuing education courses that support clinicians in strengthening safety, integrative clarity, and evidence-informed decision-making.
I create continuing education courses that help clinicians deepen their understanding of safety, integrative clarity, and evidence-informed practice. Courses are designed to be accessible, practical, and grounded in harm-reduction principles. Organizations may license courses for internal training or request content tailored to their team’s needs.
My first course, Reducing Clinical Harm Through Integrative Insight, focuses on clinical decision-making, subtle forms of preventable harm, and the complexities that arise when multiple systems of medicine intersect. The material is relevant for acupuncturists, integrative providers, and clinicians seeking clearer orientation in their work.
Additional courses can be developed or adapted with attention to scope, regulatory considerations, and the learning needs of interprofessional teams.
This framework offers a steady, organized way to approach clinical and organizational decisions in integrative settings. It supports clearer thinking, more consistent communication, and a harm-reduction mindset when navigating complex or uncertain situations.
The framework may be offered as written guidance, short instructional modules, or internal training components. It is intended to help teams create coherence and reduce confusion without imposing rigid rules.
The following principles shape my consulting and educational work:
Reducing preventable harm through clearer thinking and appropriate scope.
Respecting complexity and the limits of any single medical system.
Prioritizing clarity over volume, with attention to structure and pacing.
Maintaining trauma-aware communication and steady boundaries.
Integrating research, clinical history, and lived experience responsibly.
